review 1: Short story about the Switzer family before they head west to create a new Amish community. Jonas knows it is his responsibility to take care of his mother and sister. They have been living with another family but he has come to realize that there is no permanent place for them there. So he takes the chance of asking Caroline (the prettiest girl in all Ohio) if she would be willing to go west with him and create this new community.
