review 1: Fun update of the classic film Roman Holiday with a cowboy twist. Brady and Annie are a great couple who struggle to overcome their past, secrets, and an unexpected surprise or two. This second book in the Jubilee, Texas series introduces two new characters while revisiting those from book one, without the sense that you are missing something if you haven't read book one. My only complaint is that I wanted to see more of Miracle's rehabilitation. Overall great runaway royalty story.
review 2: As much as I enjoyed the jubilee universe, I absolutely was annoyed out of my mind by Annie in this book and figured out the plot about 10 pages in. I liked Brady and the rest of jubilee enough to keep reading and have it save the book, but the stilted way Annie was writ... moreten drove me crazy. I know it was supposed to be purposeful because she was a princess and out of place but it just missed the mark and came off annoying. less
