review 1: Really great story although it wasn't a typical romance where the hero and heroine get it on midway through the book. I totally felt the sexual frustration for both of them because they didn't go all the way until towards the end of the book. However, because of that wait it made the story seem more real and watching their relationship build from friendship to much more was really nice. We got to see the emotional journey both Joe and Mariah took before taking that next step and reaching their HEA. Like I said, different but still very nice. I enjoyed it a lot.
review 2: Following my recent binge on "pink, girly books", I figured I should read the real thing, and picked up my first Avon romance. It didn't disappoint...and was everything I ever thought a novel ... morewith pink cowboy boots on the cover would be. Ridiculously scandalous, full of throbbing lust, naked cowboys, and small-town Texas charm, if you're looking for a paperback romance that would make D. H. Lawrence blush, this one's for you (yikes, D. H. Lawrence is now currently turning in his grave). If you are looking for romance, it fits the bill. less
