review 1: Tricia was a much improved character in this installment so I'm glad I stuck around. She wasn't so prissy and was more of a normal person, and the story was good with red herrings all over and a good conclusion to the mystery. Although if bookstore owners keep getting murdered, the author will have to introduce some new characters to the town. And Tricia's moribund love life gets a tiny jolt so maybe something will happen in the next book so she can find true love.
review 2: For a series that showed much promise, the latest title in the series only brought disappointment for me. From the sibling rivalry to the confusing dialog, as well as the odd typos in the e-book edition, I found this to be a laborious read. Add in the unbelievable premise that any small ... moretown, regardless of location on the planet, would have that many murders in such a short span of time and one begins to think that these books would be better suited to the fantasy genre. Although others have found these books enjoyable, I think that it's time for me to go back to more familiar authors in this genre. less
