review 1: Whatever you do, DON'T listen to the audiobook of this. I might have liked the story better (2 stars)if I'd just read it, but the audiobook form was the WORST I've ever heard. I really don't like having to give such a low score, but the narrators were so bad, it actually made me wince at times just to hear the halting lines and over-acting. Then at the change of each chapter, you're forced to listen to some awful music. It reminded me a bit of the old tapes and book sets for kids where the tape would make a chime sound to prompt the child to turn the page of the book where they were reading along. Unless you are into torturing yourself or those around you, I'd say to pass on the audiobook version for sure. I don't even think I'll try to continue this series even in ebook f... moreormat.
review 2: Where should I begin? I hate giving an author a bad review but this was borderline ridiculous. There were so many unanswered questions and world building holes that made the story annoying. The audio book narrators were COMICALLY BAD!! I seriously cannot force myself to read the next book, my common sense won't allow it.Story - .5narrators - There really anything good I can say about their efforts. A bad story was made worse by these two and that is sad. less
