Misadventures of Tallulah Casey
review 1: I think this book attracted the part of my brain that still thinks I am twelve. I love the cover design. I really liked the premise of the book, as it was based round an theatre art school. The characters were quirky and fun, although, I found it hard to keep track of who was who.. (Ruby? Charlie?) I did feel that though that the storyline is very similar to other young chick-lit style novels. Simple, glittery and slightly overdramatised.
review 2: This is not the worst book I've ever read start to finish but... that's only because I *really* still hate The Awakening. It *is* the most blah book I've ever read.It starts half a dozen plot threads that don't really go anywhere.I see now that it has, clearly since my edition, been re-subtitled as first of a series.
... more It certainly reads as the first episode of a series, as a lot of characters are introduced and then nothing is... advanced, let alone resolved. At the same time, I have approximately zero interest in finding out whatever happens, if/when it does. Finally, a bone to pick though I'm certainly guilty myself... the constant switching of tense from present to past, sometimes within the span of two back-to-back sentences, was just jarringly egregious.Ok, that's all. :-) less

The main charcter Tallulah is as quirky as they come which I love. Its an easy, laugh out loud read!

Good read, quite funny in parts, quite recognisable in style to the Georgia books.
