review 1: This was my first stab at reading one of L.T.'s books and I could barely put it down. The only thing that made me stop was that I wanted the book to last longer!Jaime Rivers and Sierra Connor were best friends all through high school but at the end of school in their senior year Jaime kissed Sierra and told her she was a lesbian. Sierra freaked out and Jaime knew she had lost her friend forever. After waiting a week for Sierra to contact her she left on an extended vacation. Ten years later she gets a notice of her reunion on a cruise and wants nothing to do with it afraid she would run into Sierra, the only woman she has ever loved, and be rejected again. While Jaime is a successful author she still feels unworthy of love especially after a tragic accident on her sur... moref board led to an addiction to pain pills. Jaime's best friend, Darlene finally convinces her to go and calls the travel agency that is handling the cruise to book a room for the two of them. Sierra worked for the company handling the reunion and gladly takes Darlene's info but when she hears the next name to be booked she has a little breakdown. After all these years, Jaime was going to be back in her life and the only thing she can think about is how she ran out on her so many years ago. The first night on the cruise was filled with meet and greets and getting settled into their rooms. At dinner time they went to the main dining area and she gets stuck at a table with the biggest jock (actually alcoholic jerk is more accurate) and his lovely wife, the head cheerleader and biggest gossip of their entire class. As they converse with their table, Jaime sees Sierra and her heart skips a beat and when Sierra notices her all the feelings that each of them bottled up ten years ago resurfaced. Over the next day they had run ins with each other but every time they got interrupted at the absolutely worst time, right after they said something that could be taken the wrong way. Finally they get a chance to talk, they spend a day touring the Keys and when Jaime sees there is a a kayak trip she jumps at the chance but Sierra not being the daring one makes her promise to take her snorkeling at the next stop. The idea of getting into the water freaks Jaime out and Sierra has no idea what is wrong since Jaime was an accomplished surfer. As they were getting back on the ship, Sierra asked if Jaime was going to the formal dinner that night and Jaime jumps at the chance. Unfortunately not thinking she would bother with the dinner she had nothing to wear and freaks out, fortunately Darlene has thought of everything and had a tuxedo tailored just for her. They both go to dinner and are happy to be at Sierra's table instead of the previous one. After dinner they decide to get away, they talk and start to dance and when a slow song comes on one of the reunion people asks to cut in and Jaime lets him... As Sierra watches her walk away she is pissed, excuses herself and grabs Jaime dragging her out onto the deck and asks her why she just let her go...As the week continues they share all their secrets not wanting anything between them and nothing to tear them apart again. Unfortunately for Jaime, one of her secrets goes against one of Sierra's secrets and a divide opens up between them that may never be filled again...This is a true love story. Love that never had a chance, love that grew with one touch, love that destroyed both women in different ways but most importantly a love that just might be able to complete both of them. Ten years is a long time to wait, a long time to wonder, and a very long time to yearn. Mistakes are made and some are forgiven but some may change the game forever. Can one touch be enough to bring them to the happy ending they both want or will their trust issues bare their ugly heads and ruin it all...Wonderful character build up, not showing us what we want to see until the other is ready to hear it. We don't know the secrets but we know they will play a pivotal role in the story. If you don't feel happy, elated, sad, devastated, hopeful and down right horny after you read this book then you need to read it again!
review 2: As soon as I started reading One Touch, I knew that I was going to stay up all night until I finished it. L.T. Marie grabbed the readers with her two characters of Jaime and Sierra and didn't let us forget the chemistry, the history, and the language of love that they engaged in throughout the chapters. Having become friends in high school, Jaime and Sierra made a connection that was meant to be forever but teenage anxiety and assumptions put a halt to love before it was given a chance. Ten years later at their high school reunion aboard a cruise in the Caribbean (reader please be aware that you will be Googling cruise ship tours immediately upon finishing this story if not sooner!), they meet again and the connection is still there. However, over the years they have spent apart each woman has grown and been challenged with life's lessons and these experiences have the potential to break them apart again. Through out the story I was cheering for them to find their way, getting mad at all the stupid things that kept them apart and was definitely "awwwwweee"ing over the ending. L.T. Marie gave a fun, quick, engaging romp through the waves of love! less

I found some parts repetitive, but overall, it is a good book. Angsty, a feature I like in stories.
