review 1: I can't compliment this book enough, It certainly helps that the author was an ex cop, it adds to the authenticity. The lead character is DI Sean Corrigan, a cop with demons from his past which help him think as his targets do. The book is brutal at times and graphic, but thats how the world can be for real so its refreshing for someone to actually write about it. This is the authors first full novel, I've already read the next two and eagerly await more.
review 2: I got this free from Amazon and had it sitting for a while on my kindle. The cover intrigued me so I started reading. I like crime novels but had become bored of the same old formula. There is nothing boring about this novel, I was hooked from the very first few pages. This is a story within a story
... more involving many twist and turns. I like to think I have the suspect sussed, and all the way through I thought I knew where this novel was going but no. Nothing prepared me for the reveal. Brilliantly written, it's hard to believe this was a debut novel and I can high recommend. less
