review 1: When I started reading this books I thought it was funny and cute, but nearly as good as the first one. But then as I continued on somewhere I found myself crying and laughing out loud and wanting so bad for the world to work out for these strange and wonderful people. When I finished I knew this book had won my heart as much as the first one. And then I wiped the tears from my eyes and hoped that no one on the train noticed.
review 2: I hand-sold more copies of Netzer's first novel, SHINE SHINE SHINE, than I did any other book when I was a bookseller- I was obsessed with its weirdness and honesty. Her second novel is no different. A bizarre combination of black holes, astrology, MMORPGs, tea leaf readings and super-colliders, it's a hopeful-but-honest exami
... morenation of the nature of true love, whether there's anything to destiny at all, and whether any of that even matters. less

I just could not get into this story at all. I'm not big on magical realism. Just too weird for me.
