review 1: Another alpha male read. When Amy's car breaks down she thinks she'll be stranded, until a car pulls up behind her. Her panic at being stuck turns to panic at her saviour. Local cop Jake is hot for her and she can't hide from him any longer. I liked Jake, but he was extremely pushy. And Amy was almost ridiculously timid to begin with, but she eventually found her backbone. Lots of steamy scenes, this was a good read.
review 2: Jake is all action, "Well, Ms. Sanford, it's like this. Your bag is packed. It's Friday night and your daughter is away for the weekend. And you don't have a husband. You can forget your girlfriend tonight, you're coming to my house." Yep all take charge action. He's also unfiltered, "too fast? Are you effing kidding me?" She cringed at h... moreis crudity. "You're had my guts ties up for ten weeks. You're lucky you're not naked right now. I don't even remember what a hot shower feels like anymore. All I get are cold ones. Because of you. I thought that I would never get to have you. And now I find out you don't have a Goddamned husband." less
