review 1: Hmm...this is a difficult one for me because I liked John and I liked his inner dialogue but I didn't like the way he talked to or treated Sarah for pretty much the entire book. I also didn't like that all these people just expected John to give them his money~that pissed me off!! I thought considering he was extremely generous maybe more than he should have been. lol Loved Sarah and wished more than once that she would kick John in his junk because he definitely deserved it!! lol John did redeem himself for me in that latter part of the book and definitely in the epilogue. Another great story just wish John had said more of what he was thinking to Sarah than what actually came out of his mouth. lol Favorites are still Marco, Raul and Damian Rule. :)

... more 3 1/2 starsI like Lynda Chance a lot. She writes super alpha males and likable heroines. Sarah's Surrender is a sexy enjoyable read. This story is about millionaire rancher John and school teacher Sarah. Sarah inherited her grandfathers Texas farm where she spends her summers away from her Dallas teaching job. John and Sarah bump into each other at a gas station and John is immediately taken with her. The problem is Sarah is engaged to safe but boring Randall (who is only referred to in the book and doesn't make an appearance). Like magnet and steel they are drawn to each other and John pursues her relentlessly. Sarah eventually realizes she needs to call off her engagement but she's not ready to surrender to John. Even her best friend discourages her from getting involved with him based on local gossip that John is a player. While it's true John has only had brief flings since the death of his about-to-be-divorced wife, he's consumed with his desire for Sarah. There is plenty of build-up and sexually tension leading up to them coming together and the story kept my attention (I would have stayed up to finish in the wee hours if I hadn't had to work in the morning). One thing I did not like much: Sarah started out likable but once John started pursuing her she played some mind games like saying the opposite of what she was feeling just to get a rise out of John. The thing was, he WAS arrogant and alpha but she was choosing to spend time with him and I though that behavior was immature. She also came off like a c***kteaser at times. However, once they came together all that behavior fell by the wayside and she was once again the likable girl from the beginning of he story. less

For a Lynda Chance book this is pretty tame!I've got say that the first review i read for this book wasn't very flattering, but i desagree with most of what was said.I actually like how they meet, how the reader is presented witha manly man, a hot guy, Jonh and Sara is presented with medium everything. First as said by Sara, John is a man man, nota pretty boy and that's what most women find atractive. And Sara is described by John as medium everything, but when you put it all together and you really looked at her she was a nice package, she has that extra something. It's funny that she's so nervous she doesn't even noticed that he's the one paying for her fuel. The bar scene was to obvious and kind of unnecessary. The sex scenes are hot as usual. And trough all its a pleasent reading!Oh and i'm with Sara...you should make a guy wait. Why buy the cow and you could have the milk for free!?...

First off, I must say that Lynda Chances' H's are always a lot over the top alpha males. Are they sane? Probably not. Would it be alright for a man to intimidate and dominate a woman like they do? Heck no!If you ever come across a man like John in real life, you should probably run as far and as fast as you can!But oh my, they hot on paper (or kindle in this case). There is just something about a hot man who is so determined and obsessed about making you his that it has me shivering in anticipation. The possessiveness, protectiveness and caveman style is just so goddamn hot. But again, in real life, men like that probably end up on the CI channel or the Most Wanted list.
