review 1: Lynda Chance is one of my favorites and this books proves why! Garrett is my favorite Rule brother and i loved everything about him in this book! He was hot, possessive, faithful, passionate and just pure Alpha Male( which is typical for Lynda Chance and one of the reasons I love her books so much). And Maria was a nice surprise, because she was feisty and they made an amazing couple. The sexual tension and chemistry was of the charts! It is in my opinion one of the hottest books Lynda has written, and one of the best. It is now my favorite from her among with Sara's Surrender.Just pure joy. Though i have to admit some parts of the books seemed strange, for example Garrett keeps on saying that Damian(hero from the first book) used to be the type of love them and leave them... more, but there was no such thing in his book.It was just said that he never felt about anyone as strong as Angie and he didn't do permanent relationships. Nothing about him whoring around and not wanting commitment ever. There was just one thing that really bothered me, but it had nothing to do with the plot or characters(main ones at least)IT wasSpoiler!I am really curios about Max and Erin, but a bit concerned. The thing is that Max is a man-whore and Lynda Chance never had a man-whore before(well maybe John but I'm not really sure, they just usually have experience but do not go and make it their mission to sleep with as many women as possible.) and I don't know if I can be happy with him and Erin, especially if he wants to use her against his personal vengeance.( that was what I got from the book). And since Courtney was a virgin in her book( and Angie and Maria were not) I have a feeling since she grew up in the same household Erin will be too. And this whole virgin thing with a guy who got it up for everyone, just no. Plus he flirted with Maria like all the time(and someone else) and you know if they are gonna be in the same family it is really lame to have your husband admiring your brother's wife. I don't know, I just wish for Erin someone better I guess. Though by the end of this book, they haven't even met. It was just that for Damian instant attraction was with Angie and Nick knew he wanted Courtney, and Garrett got hard just from the sound of Maria's voice. Here, Max seems to have this feelings for all females and Maria, and her assistant. So him what will be different about Erin?Same thing, attraction on the spot. And on the deal with Garrett he tried to get him laid with someone and had himself a woman too. I was like what the hell? I knew from the intro that he will probably be with Erin and actually that even a bit the mood for reading this story, coz i was angry with his actions. I think the worst for me was his whole hitting on Maria. Eh, I wish Erin was paired with someone else.I know it is really harsh to bash on character when I didn't even read his book( but I really found nothing interesting or good about Max) it is just that with Lynda I'm so used to auto buy her books and not really read any reviews because I can be sure there will be no OW or OM and no cheating, that the whole arc with man-whore brings me down. Those man whoring ones are all over the romance genre and I am just tired of reading about them, so I don't know. The 4th book for me will not be an auto buy, this whole Max thing put me off a bit but I hope I will be wrong. But really, Max is probably the only one Lynda Chance hero whom I don't like.
review 2: Yum, yum -who ordered the obsessive alpha male? Because this is one focused guy, and even though he doesn't close the deal until well into the book, his dealing with the situation pulls the book along.Loved this man, even before he saw her, and only had knew her voice, he was dreaming about her. When he finally met her, he could barely contain himself! The entire book is basically him trying to wrangle control, lose control, back up and start all over again. Even after he thinks everything is worked out, the silly girl messes it up againThat was the only downfall of the book, I just did not get Maria, like really, really, didn't get or like the woman. Her actions made no sense, her motives were not well defined and not based on any reality of the situation. Whether work or relationship, she took everything and gave nothing and blamed everyone elseLuckily, our man more than makes up for her downfalls, and we got a sneak at our next man who will go all alpha on the rule woman left in this family!!! less

Just ok the first was the best in the series. While it was hot it got a little over the top for me.
