review 1: A cute little cozy mystery with likable characters. Set in a small coastal California town, where everyone gossips and knows everyone. The town is rocked when the manager of a tourist destination is murdered and the coffee shop owner is the prime suspect,even though she is dating the local sheriff. Jill Gardner can't help herself getting involved in the murder investigation. She has a knack of being right in the middle of it, even with police protection. You can't help but be amused by Jill and her aunt as the killer is finally revealed and the truth comes out.
review 2: I actually really liked this book. I like that Jill comes across as a perfectly normal person, with few problems in her life. I do enjoy books where the main character has to struggle, but occa... moresionally i enjoy a book whose main character has a pretty easy life. i found this funny and light and i honestly had no idea who did it until all was revealed. i absolutely fell for the numerous red herrings. less
