review 1: For some reason, when I chose this book to read, I thought it was a cozy mystery.I was wrong. It's erotica.It took me a while to figure this out. The book opens in a costume store with a gay man picking out a dress to wear to a party given by his boss, who has told him to dress in drag, not stag. The background is New Orleans, not the Texas plains like I thought it would be.Okay, he's gay, he's not a cowboy, maybe he's the one that a cowboy murders.That doesn't happen. He dresses as Pocahontas, looks good, and at the party runs into a man dressed as a cowboy, in a stag way.The two of them end up in a luxurious hotel room and spend the night very erotically.I kept on reading, thinking that murder would occur at some point. Maybe someone anti-gay would burst into the room wi... moreth a shotgun. Maybe the cowboy's toy pistols would turn out to be real. Maybe the hotel's lotion in the bathroom would turn out to be poisonous. Maybe at the end of a passionate night, the cowboy would kill Pocahontas so he'd never repeat the night with anyone else.That didn't happen. They finally fell asleep, and fell in love.They do argue about some things, though. In the Epilogue, they've been living together several months, and they are preparing for another party. They're angry and arguing.The argument is: Whose turn is it to be the cowboy, and who gets to be Pocahontas?
review 2: Totally sweet angst free story with tons of sex.Simon needs a dress because he has to go to a costume party in drag! He meets a very sexy guy who helps him pick out the perfect outfit. It turns out Charles, the man from the store is going to the same party and wants to be a cowboy.They hookup at the party and have a bit of fun role play and have sex, sex and some more sex ...there is a short epilogue that shows a it of their HEA! less
