review 1: ok... so i finally got around to reading this book that was removed by the author from the shelves due to some incredible controversy....and....well...i just don't get what the controversy was about... i mean seriously... this book is a good story, it has tension, some angst, a couple of twists... but is nowhere near controversial! If you have read Captive/Seduced in the Dark by CJ Roberts, or anything by Kitty Thomas, well this book has absolutely nothing to get you panties in a twist about! it even has an HEA!so if you want a good story about to imperfect people with skeletons in their closet.. read this one... if you can find it!
review 2: I loved this book and honestly can't understand the controversy that was caused when it was originally released. I can... more't imagine how bad the 'feedback' (I use that term lightly) Ms Leighton must have received that made her pull it from the shelves. Readers are missing out on a great story of two broken souls with tough backgrounds and experiences who find a way to come together to help the healing process.Did I mention there's some really hot sequences throughout the book too.If you can some how get hold of a copy of this book, and you like the books I like, I know you'll enjoy it. less

Dr. Buraquinho means Little Hole in portuguese, I am brazilian and I never heard of a name like this. Everytime I read this name in the book I was like wth? This book was confusing. Because the author showed always that Alec was not in love till the epilogue when sundely he realises he is in love and can't live without Samantha. I love Leighton, she's one of my fav authors but this book has lots of flaws. I got it last year and I started to read it then I dnf. I decided to give it a try again and oh boy what a mess.

I don't get it... What were people complaining about? What was so horrible that the author received so much backlash? I'm left dumbfounded, I read a great book with two extremely broken characters who both went through two different horrific events and found one another and learned to heal... I have read much much worse circumstances and much worse of characters it's suck a shame that this book can no longer be purchased.
