review 1: This is a sweet book--a compilation of three talks by Elder Ballard about women, daughters of God. He reminds us of our individual worth and divine mission as daughters and sisters to nurture, lead and influence our families, homes, communities and wards for good. We have a great power and responsibility to encourage and love and serve and stand for righteousness, against the voices of the world that are saying women should be doing other things. I love the story Elder Ballard shares about the kindness of a group of children from different nations sitting at the feet of a statue of Jesus and him saying that we should have children solve the problems of the world for a while. :) Elder Ballard emphasizes the love the Lord and His prophets have for women and encourages e... moreach of us to stand up and volunteer, "Here I am, Lord, send me." As we have faith in our Lord's love and plan for us we can be instruments in His hands to help bless and teach His children. I know that family relationships and roles are divine and want to fulfill my mission, stand up and do good and encourage and nurture.
review 2: This book is a compilation of three talks to women by M. Russell Ballard-1- Daughters of God2- Teach the Children3- As Women of GodThese talks would be available online, so I wouldn't buy the book, but I loved reading these talks over a few days. He has such a love for women and a great way of stating things. It is a great thing to read to remember our value as women and to relax and enjoy our lives more without the self-deprecation and guilt.I remember him delivering the first talk, Daughters of God, but I had never read either of the other talks. The last talk, As Women of God, I really enjoyed and I am rereading it again. less
