review 1: Two very likable protagonists in June and Luke. June is returning to Sultry Springs after a nine year absence to serve out a 30-day community service orchestrated by her grandmother's friend the judge. Luke gas been home for the past 5 years after a bad ending to his brief career in the military. This was a sweet story of best friends to lovers in a small Texas town. I really liked June. She was a no nonsense hardworking heroine who survived heartbreak to realize her dreams of owning her own bar in Austin. Luke was a great broken bad boy hero who came very close to losing his shot at a HEA.
review 2: I received this book when I attended an author event almost a year ago. Man, I am kicking myself for leaving it on the TBR shelf for so long. What a great story... more of love and second chances. The humor in this story made me laugh from the first page all the way to the end. I have added Macy Beckett to my must have list after finishing Luke and June's story. Can't wait to see what is next in line with Trey! less
