review 1: When I first received this book, I imagined it would be a very surfaced, rather cheesy romance novel...but after actually reading it, I realized I was wrong. This book was extremely difficult for me to put down. The erotic scenes were beautifully written and thoroughly expressed the love between Leah and Colt, and that their encounters were not vapid or purely physical. The moral background of the characters (I love Pastor Mac) is wonderful as well. I finished this novel over the course of about four days, but read the majority of it in one. I'm giving this novel four stars out of five because even though it was a page-turner, it still felt a little bit like book candy or a rapid read. Those aren't necessarily bad things, but 5 stars to me means that the novel taxed my thi... morenking and incited extreme curiosity in my mind. Overall though, I think Beckett did a good job.
review 2: Such an exciting and sweet book. I didn't think I would love Colt that much but he won his place in my list of hotties :) This book made me cry and it's definitively my favorite of this series. Macy Beckett is obviously very talented at telling a story but I think her greater ability is creating such loveable characters. You've got to try her Sultry Springs' series but I'm warning you, it's addictive :) less
