review 1: I would probably have not read this if I had not gotten it as a part of a reader panel. I thought I'd try something different.A thoroughly dislikeable "hero" who is really the antagonist in every way. He purposely hurts the heroine, multiple times - and she accepts it because supposedly she is attracted to him, in spite of the fact that he's cold and calculating.It did have a couple of redeeming qualities in the end, but overall, not much to recommend.
review 2: This is a thin quick book to read. The plot was OK, I think that the way they got together in the first place is a bit strange, but oh well if you can think it…it can happen…I guess. The characters are interesting and yet that same problem in all romances is that both leads are gorgeous, perfect a... morend extremely driven at their choice of careers, and the sex is the best either had ever had in their lives even Alik who admits to sleeping with more women than he can count. I realize this is the authors way of saying LOVE, but it is the same in almost all romances and it is annoying. Can we not find another way to describe love without saying it?The book for the most part was good and quick…it did not drag on in any of the parts and everything moved quick…not more than an hour out of your day should do it….this is like candy..sweet but over too quickly. The baby added a fun twist to the romance. less
