review 1: I liked how it began, with the heroine breaking a contract because the hero offered more money. Bold move for an HP, or any romance, really. The heroine--a successful public relations consultant--is a 27 year old virgin, which normally would be fine in an HP (I know what I'm signing up for), but not with a heroine with her background and lifestyle. And then the hero turns out to be a really wonderful rich womanizer who does all these great things but doesn't want anyone to know about them even thought he's spending a ton of money to make sure who looks good to the public. Yeah. And then they decide to fake an engagement for a really flimsy reason. My TBR is too bloated for this.
review 2: Wow! The reviews for this book are mixed, but I loved it!Sometimes you fi
... morend a book which not only hits all the right notes, but reminds you why you love to read. And what you hope to write one day! The story was completely absorbing. This was pure romance IMO. The main characters were in pretty much every scene together, which is my favorite kind of romance. Both character's backgrounds were interesting. I read a couple of comments saying the reactions of these characters to their upbringing was unbelievable. I never read these books for realism. I think their job is to imitate it and give an entertaining story which has a satisfying ending. Maisey Yates did that here. Solid four stars minimum. less
