review 1: Too Sexy for His Stetson by Mal Olson is a wonderful combinations of action, suspense, adventure, and romance. Brandy Wilcox is a new sheriff’s deputy just out of the academy with the overall purpose to clear her mother’s name. Her mother was convicted of murder that Brandy thinks she did not commit and she is intent to prove it. Brandy’s Field Training Officer is Lieutenant Blade Beringer and the attraction between them is indisputable on both sides. Blade is a hot and sexy man who sees the side of Brandy most don’t either see or want to see. Brandy easily gets under Blade’s skin. Blade is new to the area and has his own dark secrets he does not want anyone to know about. The chemistry between Blade and Brandy is scorching hot. The sex scenes were bliste... morering. I loved watching both Blade and Brandy fight their attraction to each other before they both gave in. While it’s against the rules neither can keep fighting their attraction to each other for long.My favorite scene in the book is the one where Blade and Brandy meet. It’s a unique way to secure a suspect even when that suspect turns out to be your boss. It was a funny scene. This book was a great combination of funny, series, action, adventure and romance. I had a hard time putting the book down. While I have not read anything by this author before I will be keeping an eye out for more.
review 2: I received this book from the touring host for an honest review. This is the first book I have read about this author, and definitely not the last.Really? OMG. Adorable. Awww. Sweet.Just some of the one word phrases that come to mind reading this book. Tension, suspense and action in the middle of a budding romance is now what I call a great read. With enough testosterone and hormones flowing, a sexy Deputy Sheriff and a gorgeous rookie and you have a winner. The plot was exciting, and kept you guessing till the end. The villain was deceitful and treacherous. His scheming and murderous attitude always a thorn on our sexy deputy sheriff's side.Feisty women, Brandy and Tonya, will keep you at the edge of your seat. Brandy our gorgeous rookie clashed with Blake Beringer from the moment they met, in a somewhat peculiar situation that set the tone of the book throughout. Seeking justice for her deceased mother, convicted murderer, and the real killer of Marilyn Abbott. The minute Lieutenant Blake Beringer set his eyes on Brandy, his new rookie he knew he had problems. Electricity flowed between them, filling the pages with sexual tension. Struggling with his identity as a man and loyalty towards the man who saved him, Brandy became the balm to his aching heart. Doubt always between them because of Skip Coogan, and his part in both their lives. One knew him as a monster, the other as a hero, which almost destroyed the budding attraction. And I can not do a good book review if I do not refer to the K9 friend, Rambo. Ex-partner and retired Blake took him with him when he relocated to Idaho. The strong bond between Rambo and Blake unmistakable, and the true hero in this story. The phrase "a man's best friend" wonderfully illustrated within the book. He won Brandy's heart, giving her love and acceptance she needed which open her heart for so much more than just K9 love. As they plough through the country in search for the terrorists and killer, they became a unique team. Both Blake and Brandy were confronted with their own issues, set it aside to have the one thing they both want. Home. The story was set against the Shoshone River, with its rapids, down pours and beauty giving you a feel of a believable story and trusted characters. The romance was building steadily, giving the reader just enough to make this a wonderful suspense filled read. Fast paced but not rushed, you were pulled into the lives of the sheriff's and the problems they faced. The Neo Nazi Freedom Fighters tested all their abilities and knowledge, their self-righteous acts demeaning and barbaric. Causing more action and adventure between the pages. Spellbound till the end.A story I enjoyed. less

I really enjoyed this story. I was sad about Skip and his father, but it turned out well in the end.
