review 1: It was a fun read.Would give it 3.5/5.Megha,the heroine, is pretty realistic;without any of the usual superhuman characteristics ;pShe is silly, sulky & infuriating at times just like a normal human being.Yellow seems to be Manasi's favourite colour as more often than not the jholas/churidars etc. are of that colour :pWhile Goamzee's (fake) US accent is ridiculed at,I didn't get why the female characters were to have western nicknames (Meg for Megha, Sammy for Sameera,Debbie for Debaprita..)And thank you Manasi for not naming the hero 'Rahul',if you know what I mean ;)The writing style was good. I read it in one sitting.Liked it!
review 2: was a short, sweet, funny read. I have read a few contemporary Indian fiction mostly based on technology and business manage
... morement arenas, but none were this witty. There was a good flow to the story. The protagonist Megha is a likeable young lady, and most of us could relate to the main character or others in someway or other. I work in a totally different area, still I could fathom how the advertising and marketing people work. The romance between the two characters was sweet and clean. To sum up, I loved the book. I would recommend this to all who like contemporary fiction, chicklit (though I dont know whether this novel comes in the category of chicklit) and anything to do with India. less
