review 1: A rather short read, excellent for casual readers looking for a short story to fill the weekend with. The book remains mysterious with a hint of excitement throughout the entire story, keeping readers glued to the book from the start to the end, always wondering what will actually happen. Though when the plot has been revealed and the book has ended, I feel that the ending could have been much more exciting, much more rewarding, with the amount of preparation put into the build-up to the climax.
review 2: This was a very quick read for me. I read it on a six hour flight to Arizona, but it only took about half the flight. It is more of a short story than a full fledged book. That being said, it was only ok. The book was a little bit boring to me, but it did have
... more some interesting twists. It made my heart and my head go to separate places the whole time I was reading it. It wasn't my favorite book, but it was decent. The ending had a twist though that I feel was very elaborate, and explained the rest of the book for the reader. This surprise ending was the only reason I liked the book. less

Great historical fiction/mystery title. Would be great to use for a discussion on gun control.
