review 1: I have to give this 5 stars for the beautiful and lovely illustrations--definitely a book I'd like to read for my daughter. In a society so obsessed with crappy celebrity culture, it'd be nice to introduce her to a serious actress who believed in kindness and was a regular class act.This book is like the highlights of Audrey's life: all the stuff that made her "good."If you're going to this for a biographical account of Audrey's life or work, you're going to be disappointed. Without the illustrations, I wouldn't have given this five stars--and maybe not even four stars.
review 2: This was quiet a find. I've always had an admiration for Audrey, growing up with her films and what not. She had a character and grace that you just can't tear away from. Audrey was t... morehe type of woman you wanted to be around. She was kind and could be firm in her opinions and beliefs. Most of all, she had a loving spirit. This book captures that nature of hers, with it's words and simple, yet graceful illustrations. For all intents and purpose, this book should be given to anyone - boys, girls, adults, WHOEVER!Just go read it, and don't feel silly about reading a children's book. Feel silly for passing this by. less
