review 1: I was looking forward to reading Escape Theory, and it definitely didn't disappoint. It's a young adult book set in a boarding school, but the characters' problems and situations don't feel juvenile. Read the summary of book if you want a better idea of the plot, but basically it's an interesting, fast paced, dramatic, suspenseful book. The author did a great job at creating a young adult book that didn't feel petty, dumbed down, or juvenile. It reminded me a bit of the Lying Game series by Sara Shepard, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I can't wait to read the next book in the Keaton School series.
review 2: Wow. WOW. WOW! I have no idea where to begin with this book. What mostly struck me about this book was the general complexity of the novel. I found almost ever
... morey action in this book to contribute something to the storyline. Margaux Foley created an unexpected, well-written mystery with a touch of romance and an emphasis of truth, friendship, and self-reliance. This is a book I won from Goodreads Firstreads and boy, am I glad I did. I would recommend this to high school and up. Also, as I tend to stress in my reviews, this book does contain some mature content, which is why I would recommend it to high-schoolers. less
