Taking a Moment of Mental Respite

Self care involves more than physical pampering, or recreational play. We often fail to take time out to reflect on our specific emotional and mental needs. Mental excursions and escapisms may present in the form of mini moments of inner reflection. Take time to plan how you are going to spend your next moment of mental escape. It could be an hour of browsing the fiction aisle at Barnes and Noble, or indulging in a Moscow Mule at your favorite lunch spot. Today, I took some time out to have lunch. Instead of my usual trek to Panera Bread, I took the drive to my local Fridays.
