review 1: Excellent, pacey whodunnit - who would want to kill an art dealer/gallery island on the island of Gotland. There are so many twists and turns in this tale that I really did not see the result coming. Some clever detective work by Knutas and his team, and dangerous investigation by Johan the journalist lead to a very exciting and suspense-filled denouement. The story had travelled a long way from a body being suspended over a gate in the city wall! Good one :)
review 2: The island of Gotland in Sweden is the setting for Jungstedt&'s fourth novel featuring Det. Supt. Anders Knutas A respected art dealer is murdered, his body left hanging from the Dalman Gate in the medieval town of Visby. Knutas and his assistant, Det. Insp. Karin Jacobsson, are on the case
... more and on the trail of the killer. A famous Swedish painting, The Dying Dandy, is stolen and the theft is linked to Wallin&'s death. Some very creepy parts but definitely worth a read. less
