review 1: The bitter bitch - as called in English, (in Swedish lit. bitter cunt)wasn't my type of book when I read it. So in the beginning, reading was hard. What maked it even harder was the fact that the main character refer alot to another book - fear of flying by Erica Jong. So it felt like I was missing out. But despite of that I liked it. The story is an important one of the social structures of womanliness and maternity. And of punishment when doing wrong. As a part of a historical and social context we live in it's very interesting and I would highly recommend it.
review 2: Jag har läst den här, för 4 år sedan, och jag tyckte inte om den. Nu undrar jag om jag kanske var för ung för den. Hur stor skillnad kan 4 år göra egentligen? När det gäller den hä... morer boken - ganska stor. Jag är nu ungefär lika gammal som huvudpersonen i boken. Gällande de frågor som tas upp i boken är jag också (tror jag) mer förstående och mindre hånfull och dömande än jag var för bara några år sedan. less
