review 1: This book is filled with action and suspense and romance that I never saw coming. In the future the western part of the US is the home of the Republic. The Republic is at war with The Colonies. Daniel Altan Wing a.k.a Day is a criminal that, in the republics eyes, is a menace that is destroying property of the republic and must be stopped. He is actually trying to stop the republic for doing some very dark things under the radar to "help" them win their war against the Colonies. He meets June, a republic girl trained to become a soldier. June doesn't like him, but because of certain things he says to her she soon starts to believe in the reason why Day does the things he does. Of course I am not telling you the reason on purpose because I want you to find out yourself. Thi... mores book was written in a two person point of view: June and Day. Day lives on the run so you don't so you don't see things like fancy buildings and people, you only see poor workers. June on the other hand lives a more better life in the more wealthy areas of the republic, so when she starts "hanging" with Day she sees the slum side of the republic.
review 2: After reading 10 pages of Legend by Marie Lu, I chose not to read it for my second book report. I chose to not read it for my book report because I didn't find it interesting, I thought it was a bit dull. Another reason I chose to not read this book was because the main character seemed to frigid and only cared about keeping himself safe. Lastly, I thought that it was odd that in part of the book I read it never gave the main characters name. Because of these reasons, I rated the book 2 stars. However, this could change if I were to read the book in its entirety. less
