review 1: An interesting novel based on a true story. 2 years before 9/11, a woman in D.C. called the CIA to report suspicious behavior in a neighborhood home owned by Arabs. A large number of people were going in and out at all hours. The CIA turned it over to the FBI who blew her off. After 9/11, the home was investigated and it was decided it was a place 2 of the hijackers had been. The woman is the authors mother.
review 2: What starts out as a college student returning home to care for his mother turns into a thriller of twists & turns focusing on his neighbors across the street. I loved his developments of the characters. from the story-telling Stanley to the ornery Mrs Crowley, Ariel & even Clark as the main character. It was a page turner that kept unfolding wit... moreh one development after the next from terroristic planning & undermining, martyrdom, & the secret collaboration of Clark & Det. Wallace. This is one story I can see watching on the big screen...maybe someday!!! less
