review 1: I'd really have to give this a 3.5. I felt like there were two books here. The first part was a coming of age story. Malcolm is the product of a promiscuous mom and a good but distant dad. When his mom leaves he is shuttled between Cananda and Scotland until he is 15. Then fast forward to his mid 30s after a few failed relationships he meets Heather who has her own troubled past and it becomes an action novel as Heather tries to find her long lost daughter.
