Scrapbooking: Shopping and First Trial.

For a few years now, I’ve been wanting to move out of my parents house because I want my own space and I love decorating. But since I’m not ready to move yet (mentally or financially), I figured I would create a scrapbook of furniture, colour schemes, materials, etc. Any ideas for how I will eventually decorate my house.

But as somebody who has never done this before, I was so lost on what to do, what to buy, what even is a scrapbook? So I did a bit of detective work on YouTube and I discovered Life With Evi and I have never been so motivated to try something out!

So today I went to The Range to have a look at what stuff they have in their craft section. Here is what I bought:

For practice, before I start my scrapbook, I decided to do a scrapbook page with the stuff I already had and stuff I bought today to see what I could do with it. I printed a picture of someone special (who’s face is covered with a sticky note) on the photo setting on my printer which took me a good 20 minutes to figure out how to do that successfully. The outcome was pretty good, if I say so myself, but I underestimated the usefulness of stamps and embellishments.

It is quite empty so I will be buying some more cool stuff at some point and I will finish this page at a later date. I will tag this as “The Reason” so if you want to keep up – any future updates I make will be under that tag.

To conclude, I think my first experience went quite well. I’d love to hear any advice because I only want to improve.

QOTD: What is your favourite thing to put on scrapbook pages?

AOTD: Not sure yet but I do love to use washi tape. For whatever reason, I have always love using tape.
