review 1: Okay, so I read this book for a genre study and I can honestly say it was not that good at all, even though I gave 3 stars. Many things weren't in sync. First of all a child is supposed to die every time jennet is seen and the house was packed with kids and the women was seen like a hundred times and only two died and Harry. And whatever happened to the other school that was supposed to come to the house. WTF jennet cheated with her sisters husband and had a kid that died by accident, so she was a horrible person to begin with and Eve experienced the same thing in her past and says jennet is a victim and then a villain. The dialogue was crappy. The ending was crappy too, so jennet doesn't die and haunts Edward and Eve forever. The first book/ movie was waaay be... moretter!
review 2: I started this book, having read The Woman in Black. I was a bit dubious about reading this because of the poor ratings. But, now, having read the book , I don't understand the poor ratings because I found this book to be excellently well written. Yes I must agree on some certain aspects of the chapters were a little bit short, but so are James pattersons , and no one seems to give him a 1star rating. The story begins again at Eel Marsh House, which is a safe haven for war children. Eve and Jean are the main characters in this story, as they are the school teachers who are responsible for the children. I will not spoil this book, in case i spoil it for you readers. But this is an excellent , scary book , that I finished in 2 days. Enjoy less
