review 1: There was nothing too inspiring in this book, I'm sorry to say. The dresses were lovely, this just wasn't a practice or helpful book for me.3 stars because, meh. It isn't a total waste of paper, just not a good book for me personally. Get this book if...* You want to make a pretty dress but have difficulties imagining what you want* You don't have patterns already for a good dress foundation
review 2: Cool dresses, but nothing modest enough to actually wear. The principles are applicable to any garment, though, and the French seaming technique is genius for finishing edges without a serger. And it's so common sense, I don't know why I haven't been sewing everything that way. I want to give the book another star just for that, except all you have to do is Goo... moregle the term and you'll find some great tutorials. less
