review 1: I was laughing out loud the WHOLE way through! It is a perfectly hilarious and quick read. It is especially relevant for moms in their early thirties. I have been so sick of serious parenting books for the last two years, that I needed to read something mocking the many aspects of parenting. While there are truly some cringeworthy moments, and potty-mouthed phrases and jokes, it is definitely NOT to be taken seriously, otherwise you are definitely someone who takes yourself too seriously. Furthermore, after reading some of the negative reviews out there, I have trouble understanding why those people would even pick up a book like this to read. Maybe they are still searching for their sense of humor.I (unfortunately) am often a "by the book" and fairly meticulous person,... more so becoming a mother has made me compromise and lighten up a TON! This book made me look back (and ahead) on my experiences as a parent and realize that while this is the most important role I'll ever play, it's SO important to laugh along the way!!! Enjoy!
review 2: This book was written in a way very conducive to the way most moms read-tiny snippets here and there throughout the day. Parts were kind of funny. I would say, don't buy it but if you run across it at the library, pick it up. Some highlights: Organized Sports May Be Great for The Kids but Suck for You, The Worst Children's Book: the Giving Tree vs. Love You Forever, animals that Need to be Fired From Their Jobs at the Zoo. less
