review 1: While I liked Jess and Beatrice's story, I have to confess that I read this book for William Bendasbrook's story. He's my favorite character in the series, and I'm sorry he had to share a book with another character. For those of you who do not know, William is based on Miles Vorkosigan, the lead character from Lois McMaster Bujold's Vorkosigan saga books. William is unusually short (and thus unwanted by his grandfather), but also determined, impetuous, and charming. He has courted one young lady after another, and in this book he finally finds the woman for him. Now I'm hoping the next book features the Earl of Belmont, though I'm pretty sure when you have an aristocrat with a nose for murder whose nickname is Nicky, it's fate that he will marry Nora McKendrick, especiall... morey when she has a little dog, too (Finch=Asta?).
review 2: Beatrice and Cecilia Brent don’t come from a titled family but their father has made his fortunes as a mill owner. The Countess of Haven has agreed to sponsor the twins and decided to get them adjusted to the ton by hosting a house party. Beatrice is attracted to Lord Jessup Pennistan, a man surrounded by scandal. Even though her father and the countess both warn her off Lord Jessup, Beatrice finds herself engulfed in scandal as well...a scandal that could destroy both her and her sister’s debut less

I liked this book. It was very long and no sex but it kept me interested.
