review 1: As much as I enjoyed this book, I definitely would have preferred a longer story between the MC’s. The book was pretty much over by the time the MC’s actually got together. The story was well written. I very much enjoyed Nate and his calm demeanor. Because I read Parting Shot before this and I love Duncan, I wasn’t sure how I would connect with Nate. I had this unrealistic view of him hurting Duncan. It was nice to get his side of the story. Interesting read, given the dynamics of the MC’s.
review 2: I am reading book: Acrobat There are very relevant portrayals which I find realistic in Mary Calmes character depiction. One is in having a relationship with an opposite sex friend who serves as a means of motivation. The other is in the role of parenthood
... morebeing synonymous with surrogacy, in that being affectionate and feeling protective often has to meet the approval of both parents and children, and of course the relationship between academics, and the mafia for Gay men who seem almost naive to an underworld, which promises a great deal, but may not entail a romance that does anything more than satisfy one's curiosity. less
