review 1: This book started out strong with an interesting story and just when you're really getting into it, the ending totally tanks and everything is wrapped up in a few last pages. The ending was totally rushed and made no sense. It's like the author just got tired of the story and ran out of steam- A total disappointment and waste of time. Could have been a really great book had the author put some real time and thought into the ending. Again TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT. Would not recommend to anyone. Would give it negative stars if I could.

However, in the last chapter or 2, it really fell apart, as the author chose to wrap everything up nice and neat with a bow ... much too quickly, and without exploring some of the original themes presented. The "education" about the Deaf Community was very informative and enlightening. This book had great promise ... however ... less

A bit bizarre in parts but a good story. I learned a lot about being deaf.
