Trust Me
review 1: Pros- Solid and witty writing style- Protagonist is skilful, clever, and likeable- Great pacing and flow, not a dull moment- An entertaining storyline with elements of mystery and action- A quick, fun, light-mystery readCons- Occurrences were a little unbelievable or too easily solved and managed at times- Julep's reactions and emotions were often distant when an emotional side of her could've been explored- Secondary characters and love interest were too two-dimensional to connect with- The dark issue presented in the storyline played a too shallow part to feel important or necessary- Scenes that should've been huge, significant, and dramatic fluttered by like any other and ended up unmemorableLoved it? NoRegret reading it? NoWill I read more from the author... more? Yes
review 2: I loved this book! Plenty of twists to keep me on my toes. I’m always on the lookout for plot twists, and these took me by surprise. Julep is a scrappy, endearing protagonist with an original voice. Sam and Tyler… sigh. Great mystery; clever clues. And as a lifelong Chicagoan, I loved the Chicago setting. The ending is perfect; it wrapped things up in a very satisfactory way that left me a little teary and hinted at Julep’s next adventure. Great job and congratulations on a fantastic debut, Mary Elizabeth Summer! less

I actually really liked this. The main character was bomb. I just didn't really like how it ended.
