A Charlotte Adams Mystery
review 1: This is an enjoyable series, filled with humour and organizing tips, which head every chapter.(I particularly liked "Identify the time bandits in your life and give them the boot.") The mystery is set within the context of school bullying; an old nemesis has returned to town and that stirs up long-buried emotions. I felt that this book was less effective as a mystery - Charlotte was not as alert as she usually is, and that delayed identifying the culprit.
review 2: Serena and the other mean girls made life hell for the other girls at St. Jude's when Charlotte was a student there. Now Serena has moved back to town, and some of her erstwhile victims, especially 911 operator Mona, are upset about her presence, especially when she calls some of them to apologize.
... more Can she be trusted? Then a woman who looks like Serena is killed in a hit-and-run accident. Mona is afraid that she has dissociative personality disorder, and may be doing things that she can't remember. Naturally Charlotte has to investigate to help the woman she didn't help enough when they were girls. less
