review 1: This is a ya paranormal book about a slave turned assassin because she is an elemental. I like her character a lot, she deeply cares and doesn't want to be anything but good although everyone wants her to be a weapon. Ending was great! I hope the next book doesn't go into such lengthy description of landscape and more about Nym and her settling in with her powers and the next battle. Pump up the romance too:)
review 2: I enjoyed this book but I didn't love it. The magic system in this world is very unique in my opinion. Nym the only female elemental has been a slave multiple times and when she's about to be sold of yet again she sees a young girl being abused she accidentally uses her powers and almost kills everyone because of that incident she's gets bought b... morey Adora(who is a raging bitch.)who plans to have her be trained to be a weapon to help protect falean (if that's how you spell it.) The reason I gave this book a three stars because Wasn't really emotionally invested in the story and couldn't connect with most of the characters and I didn't really care about the romance between Nym and the love interest who I will call trainer because I can't remember his name. That ending did however left me very confused and it did make me want to pick up the sexual I just won't be in a rush to get it. less
