review 1: Libro molto interessante, ci pensavo da un po' avendo letto review positive poi complice un'offerta speciale su Kindle ho ceduto... e l'ho letto praticamente d'un fiato. Gramellini è una bella penna piacevole da leggere, questo aiuta molto. Ma anche i contenuti sono molto buoni e forti. Sarebbe stato facile scadere nello stucchevole o patetico in questa storia autobiografica e invece anche nei momenti più forti e tragici rimane quella vena di humor che ci fa sorridere anche davanti a eventi che marcheranno per sempre un bambino. Non entro nel dettaglio delle rivelazioni della storia, anche se in fondo non è un Thriller e conoscere la "sorpresa" finale non toglie al piacere di leggere. Quindi lettura sicuramente da consigliare
review 2: I get that this story ... moreis based off if the authors real experiences, but it was probably the most depressing books I've ever read. The most frustrating part was how repetitive and unwilling to change the main character (author) was. He spent the whole story being the victim and shooting down everyone's attempts to help him. ***SPOILER***The last page tries to suggest that he can change, but after 240 pages of "she left me when I was young and I'm a ruined soul. What happened to me is my entire identity" I'm not convinced this last attempt will stick. less
