review 1: This was highly recommended by a family member who genuinely loves The Oatmeal, comics and graphic novels of all sorts! Matthew Inman's introduction in the book was an endearing confession and his use of quote from George Carlin is fantastic. I've read this small book several times over and it truly touched me and not because of the immense love for pets (family members)- it's because the foundation of companionship and the bond between two beings is truly unforgettable. It made me think of the line of pets/family members I was gifted with through childhood. In turn, I also recommend this is one that should be considered and read especially on a day you truly need a smile.
review 2: Not quite as funny as his cat plotting to kill you book but totally apt descript
... moreion of dogs as far as I'm concerned. "I don't DO" dogs " ..... They are not my favorite animal.....they book really explains it perfectly. Dogs smell, eat their own poop, and vomit, and roll around in any thing that smells bad, hence the" dogs smell" statement. They will eat anything, destroy anything and pee on anything, of value without hesitation. Did I mention that they smell, and once they've rolled around on your stuff the smell NEVER goes away! This book is terrific! less
