review 1: I read the premise of the book and that is what had me intrigued but the book wasn't what I thought it would be. I loved Blaire's commentary. The inner workings of what went on in her head I can hear myself saying most of those things. It actually made the book more enjoyable. There was only action in the first chapter and then the epilogue (which didn't explain anything just gave out more questions). I enjoyed reading about the gender dynamics. Some of things the mentors and trainers said actually made alot sense but the justification of the DIVAs lifestyle before they were recruited I just wasn't buying it. The psychology about how someone can be easily manipulated into doing something they wouldn't otherwise do was intriguing. They even answered some questions I had my... moreself. I commend them for now putting that lifestyle to good use for the good of the country but that was about it. There was suppose to be a love story between Drummond and Blaire I just felt like that was more attraction then anything, Blaire being so different then Sabrina. The ending was interesting but I can't say I didn't see that one coming. I knew they would only get along for so long before they became enemies again. If this book so happenes to be a series I would read it out of curiosity to find out what happened. How did they get to finally getting along that night to that day on the boat?
review 2: Well, this book is too out of the box for me to really enjoy it. Loads of sexual encounter but it did have some reasonable explanations of human nature. I don't like to read books when it involves orgies, menage etc. so this one was not for me. Even the emotions that the characters had was not so unbelievable. So, this was not a favorite read and I actually skipped a few pages when there was a detailed descriptions of various sex scenes since it was too over the top. less
