review 1: I love Maureen Jenning's books. This series promises to be as good as her Inspector Murdoch books. I had the good fortune to meet both Maureen Jennings and her husband and to have a fairly lengthy discussion with both about her work (both literary and TV) and the direction it's going.I wish them well in their quest to win the record for length of a Canadian TV series on air. She has had an interesting life and is an amazing person.
review 2: This is part one of trilogy set in Britain during the 1940s. A young Land Army girl is murdered in a small village near where there are German Nationals interned in a camp. Inspector Tom Tyler investigates the murder and also deals with the return of an old flame. His son has just returned from Dunkirk and is not adjusti... moreng back to civilian life.
