review 1: I enjoyed the book up until the end. Not to say it was not a happy ending, because it was, but it was rushed... Very rushed. The climax of the story happens and then there is supposed to be a big battle, but Maurissa completely skips it and skims over the results of the fight - who survived, who died in one sentence and then.. Well l, I guess they lived happily ever after..? So many loose ends. Why? This book could have been solid with a less lazy ending, and the relationship with Jax could have been built on more too. Frankly not sure how she came love him really. I preferred her other novel "warped" a lot more.

Her grandmother is on the island and she slowly learns it's secrets and her own startling background. A good, fast paced fantasy. less
