review 1: Ms Bryce is a new to me author. And I am so glad I found her.Jameson is breaking his engagement to Clarice and she physically attacks him in a private part of his person. He expects his best friends to have sympathy on his behalf, and does not receive it. His best friends are Robin and his sister, Amelia. This is a story of Jameson who lives for one scandal or another. Robin, his best friend is the calming person in his life. Amelia is the managing person in his life. They have all 3 grown up together and have learned to be comfortable and safe with one another. Before the scandal of breaking up with Clarice is even yesterday's news, Jameson realizes he must marry Amelia, the only woman who knows him and does not want to kill him. There is a back story for each character and ... morethe shared history gives each of them a knowledge and love for one another. This is a fun story. We have humor and mutual caring. You will find that each of the main characters and the secondary characters are humorous. The plot is well developed and the characters are people who are well written and complete.I recommend this book to anyone who wants a quick, romantic and humorous read.
review 2: "Kneed by his dainty bride-to-be and left groaning on the floor. How, how could a woman who weighed less than one of his hunting dogs have felled him so effectively? So embarrassingly."So begins the Regency/Romance novel, To Tame A Dragon by Megan Bryce, book two in The Reluctant Bride Collection. Jameson Pendrake calls off his engagement a day before his wedding as he knows she's not right for him or he for her. In comes his friend since childhood, Lady Amelia Delaney, to pick up the pieces and set things right as she always does. The devil-may-care dandy, Jameson Pendrake, has found the woman who would be perfect for his wife. A woman with a sharp tongue and a fiery spirit to sooth his trouble soul. Now he just needs to convince her, Lady Amelia Delaney, that he would make the perfect husband for her. This is a sweet romance, no sex scenes, except the honeymoon - behind closed doors. However there is plenty of sexual tension, wit, and funny moments in this charming, Regency Romance. less
