review 1: Legendary duelists and master swordsmen who......whine and moon and mope and sulk and feel sorry for themselves like teenage girls. OMG, it's, um, like, Swashbucklers High! To wit: a 29-year-old thug gets stroppy in a tavern because nobody likes him and his "stupid father" forgot his birthday. TWENTY-NINE! And he's sulking because "OMG, Daddy like totes forgot my bday! I totally hate him!" Sudden anachronistic and juvenile) phrases pop up further pull the reader out of the action. Characters are inexplicably named after weapons. I was waiting to meet a pair of chefs named "Fork" and "Spoon." Alas, no dice. Or "Dice," for that matter.
review 2: This book, I can say not a word more but to give it a thumbs up, and a five-star, of course! Megan derr never fails
... morein creating a story so naturally humorous yet also successfully convincing enough to make you want to read through the entire book in one gulp! I'll let you out on a little bit of hint here: Familiar with the tale of Cinderella, and the 2 evil sisters? Well, of course this one has charming, impressive-built young lads instead of damsels, and it has it's own unique plot twists, so you will enjoy it nonetheless! All in all, this is yet another amazing writes of Megan Derr, simply at it's best.Spoilers: Contains three charming very-different-from-each-other brothers falling in love with their own apple of their eyes, blondes-with-blue-eyes duke and prince and 3 amazing tales of love in their own respective yet, same world ways. less
