review 1: Judy Moody has always been one of my favorite series book. I decided on Judy Moody Goes to College because I am currently a college student. (I found it appropriate) Judy Moody was clearly in a bad mood, but she was also upset that she was going to have to get a tutor in math. She was so upset and thought of the worst possible for her new tutor. Well by surprise her tutor ended up being a college student. Judy Moody was then extremely excited because she was going to get to hang out with an “older” person. Judy then really got into the college scene. She stopped talking her friends and even re decorated her room to look more like what a college students room looks like (dorm). I also enjoyed the aspect that Judy was being taught. Judy is always learning a lesson, but I... more love math and will be a teacher soon, so this book was perfect in every way for me. I found this book very entertaining. I kept thinking to myself, “do elementary students look at me the way Judy does her tutor?” This book was also filled with truth and humor. I can remember when my brother went to college and me day dreaming and wishing I was going to college. I really enjoyed all the illustrations inside, simple, yet clear. I believe young readers would absolutely love this book. Every young child just wants to hurry up and grow up, I feel like they would be able to relate with Judy Moody. I truly enjoyed this book and hope others feel the same!
review 2: 1) I like this book because it shows you how college really feels and how difficult it is to be in college and because you get to read about a youngh girl who feels the expirence of going to college. For example on page 26 it shows how Judy Moody's math tutor is a college student so she(Judy) gets to do college stuff.Another example is when Judy has to go to different classes and has to take class on Saturday. This shows that college is not like regular school.2) You would like this book if you like math. You would like thi book if you like math because in this book they talk about a student who needs extra help in math. Most of the book is about math and the different things about math.3) One challenge of this book was that I couldn't understand whether Judy's parents were mad at her or not because when they found out that Judy wasn't doing good in math and needed a tutor, they didn't act or show that they were upset. They just acted like nothing happened untill the day to start tutoring came and they told her.4)I think the theme of this book is don't give up if you're not doing well in a subject at school becaus eyour teacher will come up with a way to help you get better.I think this is the theme because on page 20 Judy Moody's subsituit teacher suggest that Judy get a tutor that helps her in math. This shows that you could get better if you are stuck on something you just need to ask for help. less
