review 1: This book was given to me as a reward, and my first impression of it was that it was going to be interesting. The back said that the book was about drowning, but being pulled out and surviving. It seemed like a good premise for the book. That it would be about the girl surviving her fall into icy cold water and being under for eleven minutes. But it seemed that the book was not about that. It was more about getting back into her normal life, with this weird paranormal bit. Paranormal in itself is not bad, but it does not go with this story line. Added on top of this was a love triangle that was very frustrating. It seemed to be about living while feeling dead versus being dead, and trying to decide which is better. I was not impressed with this book. There was nothing hor... morerible about it, but it was sort of strange. Despite it being a slim book, it was slow to read.
review 2: I finished this book in a day. When I finished reading I made my sister hug me while I vented about this book. And not a bad vent, a good vent, because this book was so much more than I expected. I wasn't expecting an amazing book, but I got even more than that. I'm so glad I gave this book a chance, because it is so amazing. I loved the characters, everything. It actually made me think to, it wasn't just something I read for fun. Initially, yes, but it got me thinking. The detail to emotion in this book is spot on, I could feel what the characters were feeling. I could see things through their eyes, and I got completely lost in the book. I'd give this more than five stars if it were possible. less
